My name is Chrissianne Carpenter and I am based in England in the Glorious Fens. My first love is cats and dogs and these figures will feature heavily in my lists. However, I am trying to break away and stock a more varied selection of designs. I will never, however, stock the 'erotic' designs which seem to sell so well. This site will remain a haven of things you can show your Mother (and mine!)
My prices will vary, as you can see. The pieces will be graded on quality and condition. I hope you find what you are looking for amongst my pages - I shall be adding content so please bookmark my site and come back as often as possible. I do not profess to be an expert, merely a very interested collector. If you have information you think will add depth to this site then please contact me as I can have some 'expert' pages added. The netsuke I sell are all contemporary. This is not a site where you will find antique Japanese netsuke. I would dearly love to have pages dedicated to this subject so if you wish to add a page with your own links then please contact me.
I will be selling modern netsuke sourced from China to start with, in order to get things rolling. I only choose good quality pieces and will stock them in as many materials as I can find. These will include teakwood, boxwood and Mammoth Ivory. Mammoth ivory is not included in the CITES regulations and is quite a legal substance being a fossil over 6,000 years old. Most of the Mammoth Ivory I sell is sourced from Russia. I will provide documentation with each sale to prove provenance.
